Balenciaga S/S’07 Cristobal’s Balenciaga ‘Haute Couture’ Sleeveless Top -

A reference to Cristobal’s Balenciaga his legendary work in Haute Couture in the 20th century. Seen as the only authentic courier from the past. Current work from Balenciaga has little to do with the vision of fashion and elegance of the Basque creator, nonetheless, it is the values of innovation and disputation that unite these two universes. During the the season of 2007, Nicolas Ghesquiere was the man behind the genius work of Balenciaga. Nicolas Ghesquiere found something relevant Cristobal’s work and he had to recreate the legacy on a t-shirt with its iconic print. More and more Balenciaga relates back to Cristobal’s work as can be seen by watching the Fall 2021 Couture runway!
