Gianfranco Ferre F/W’93 FIGHT Camp Shirt

What to expect from one of the most decadent designers out there? Otherwise known as the architect of fashion, Ferre not only managed to bring his own namesake to the forefront of fashion from the 70s onwards, but was asked by Bernard Arnault to become Stylistic Director of Christian Dior. He drew inspiration from timelessness and was repulsed by trends and gimmicks, leading to a diversity of styles he introduced in his art: from luxurious all-over prints to functional clothing with wholesome pockets. This piece in itself is an ode to winning. From where I come from, Thai boxers was all about athletic performance that differed very little from art itself in Muay Thai. Not only did you train to win, you danced a ritual before any competition. Its extent of beauty was usually a good indicator of your athletic prowess because it demonstrated your focus and clarity. A beautiful camp shirt with a wide collar, a all-over print and button down.
