Maison Margiela F/W’17 Distressed Belted Side Buttoned Bootcut Jeans

The 2017 fall / winter collection, designed by John Galliano  was inspired by the idea of “a new glamour” and featured a mix of traditional tailoring and deconstructed garments. The show opened with a series of sharply tailored suits and coats, many of which were adorned with oversized buttons and other decorative details. These pieces were often paired with unconventional accessories, such as leather gloves with extra-long fingers or silver rings worn over gloves.

Later in the show, the focus shifted to more experimental pieces, including coats and jackets made from patchwork fabrics and oversized knitwear with exaggerated proportions. The color palette was predominantly dark and muted, with shades of black, grey, and navy dominating the collection.
